I can’t believe that two weeks have passed since I returned from the 7th Heidelberg Laureate Forum (HLF). After wading through a tricky two-week stream of assignments and prelims, I was finally at leisure to introspect and clear my head, thanks to Fall Break (classes were off for the last two days). While I have solely utilized the previous Fall Breaks to read ahead, I thought I should also use this Fall Break to reflect on the recent past. Almost a Sophomore

This 2017 summer has practically ended, and I am almost a sophomore now. I have thoroughly enjoyed basking in Ithaca’s sun, when “intermittent clouds” and “scattered thunderstorms” would ruin the bright afternoon but bring down the temperature, often leaving me confused on whether to be sad or happy about the change. The latter two phrases are exactly how Alexa would describe the weather of most days during the last 3 months, and that’s why my umbrella would always boast its presence in my small backpack.

On the Website and Blogging

Things have certainly changed. Building and working at HowTheFact was an enlightening experience. Although the contributors and the admins are extremely busy with college, including me, I hope that we will be able to jump-start HowTheFact soon. But I cannot affirm when or how.
